CSE Option in Chemistry
CSE Option in Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry (CHEM) offers a CSE Option in the Ph.D. degree program. Students electing the CSE Option are expected to satisfy all regular requirements for graduate study in CHEM. A student will normally be able to satisfy the requirements for the CSE Option by taking elective courses within the CHEM graduate program.
Ph.D. Program
For the Ph.D. in CHEM with the CSE Option, the following additional requirements must be satisfied: the student must take two CSE core courses, and two additional CSE courses or approved computational courses in CHEM. The Ph.D. thesis must have a significant computational component, and the thesis committee must include at least one CSE-affiliated faculty member.
