Interactive Educational Modules

When I started my graduate education at the University of Illinois, I worked with Michael T. Heath on a project related to scientific computing education. We wrote a variety of applets that give students the ability to work with concepts of scientific computing in a more hands-on way. The applets, which are related to Heath's textbook, Scientific Computing, An Introductory Survey, Second Edition, are accessible on the web at this page. When I began working on the project, other people had already prepared applets covering the majority of the content from the first six chapters of the textbook. I wrote most of the applets related to the last six chapters of the book, starting with the topic of interpolation.
